Kinvey Releases MBaaS Industry’s Most Comprehensive Web and Hybrid SDKs to Support Enterprise HTML5-Based App Development
New Full-Featured Libraries for Multiple JavaScript Frameworks Expand Support for Enterprises Building Hybrid and Responsive Mobile Web apps

BOSTON, MA–(Marketwired – Apr 3, 2014) – Kinvey (www.kinvey.com), the leading enterprise Mobile Backend as a Service (MBaaS) platform, today announced new comprehensive libraries for mobile web development including the full range of JavaScript, Backbone.js, Ember.js and Angular.js frameworks in addition to enhancements to its PhoneGap and Appcelerator Titanium modules. These new capabilities give enterprise customers the flexibility to deliver mobile applications for employees, partners and customers on any device. It also gives them the freedom to use internal or external development teams without constraining the tools and skills they need to build the best application for their business.

Kinvey is the first MBaaS vendor to deliver such wide-ranging support for JavaScript libraries that include enterprise-grade features such as data encryption, online/offline caching, data synchronization, user management, and network management. Additionally, Kinvey’s MBaaS delivers out-of-the-box support for user authentication, social media engagement, and enterprise data and business logic integration.

While many enterprises have invested heavily in Web development tools and skills, few have mobile application development experience. Kinvey’s expanded JavaScript library support means enterprise developers can now focus on application design and user experience rather than the complexities of building for a specific platform.

“Enterprise developers are looking for the fastest and easiest on-ramp to delivering engaging mobile, tablet and responsive web experiences,” said Sravish Sridhar, CEO of Kinvey. “Existing solutions like Mobile Enterprise Application Platforms (MEAPs) lock developers into using the Web framework provided by the vendor. Instead, our goal is to give enterprises the flexibility and choice to deliver apps using any Web or hybrid development framework that meets their needs and skills set.”

“A big part of the value in Web & hybrid development these days is leveraging powerful and flexible libraries,” said Omar Al-Mishwit, president of OhmzTech, a Kinvey application development partner. “Today’s enterprise-grade apps need to focus on user experience and innovative functionality. Kinvey’s vast offering of Web libraries and critical application features like data store and user authentication not only simplify Web development but also allow us to focus on delivering high impact mobile applications for our customers, regardless of the underlying platform or framework.”
